Leaked iPhone 17 Air image reveals rear camera bar

For several months now, rumors have been circulating about a redesigned version of the IPhone 17It may be called the “iPhone 17 Air” or something similar. This model is expected to replace the “iPhone 17 Plus” as the fourth option in the new iPhone lineup, as it will be launched alongside the regular iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In an interesting development, a leaker known as “Majin Bu” has posted an image that is claimed to be one of the components of a new ultra-thin iPhone, which is called the “iPhone 17 Air”. In this article, we analyze this leaked image and whether it is real and reliable or not.

From iPhoneIslam.com, two black phones with the Apple logo, encased in a clear plastic case, are placed side by side, which could indicate a detailed image of the upcoming iPhone 17.

The leaked design details reveal two iPhone rear chassis, featuring a prominent camera bar in the form of an oval plateau at the top. The left side of this bar has a circular hole that appears to be for a single rear camera, while the right side houses an LED flash and a small hole for the microphone. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be the only iPhone 17 model to come with a single rear camera.

Although the fourth-generation iPhone SE will also come with a single rear camera, there have been no rumors about it containing a rectangular camera bump similar to this image.

From iPhoneIslam.com, the image shows two iPhone SE models from the front and back, highlighting the display, camera and side buttons. One is tilted to show the rear camera and Apple logo, while the other shows the display.

With so many AI-generated images and fake iPhones circulating, we can’t be sure if this image is the real iPhone 17 Air. Some similar leaks may prove to be true later, but in many cases they turn out to be fake, so it’s wise to treat this information with a grain of salt.

It is worth noting that the leaker “Majin Buu” had previously accurately revealed the name of the “Desert Titanium” color for the iPhone 16 Pro models seven months before their official launch. Also, some of his previous information was inaccurate, such as the rumor that the iPad 11 would be launched in 2023.

From iPhoneIslam.com, a close-up view of the Desert Titanium iPhone 16 Pro, showing the camera system and front display with text above mentioning the model name and code from its predecessor, the iPhone 15 Pro.

Rumors suggest that the rectangular camera bump will be present on both the iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro models, suggesting that this design change could potentially be applied to all versions of the iPhone 17 family.

Therefore, we can say that this leaker has a mixed record in terms of the accuracy of information, so it is better to wait for official confirmation from Apple or confirmation by other leaks from other reliable sources before relying on these leaks completely.

It is also worth noting that the idea of a wide camera bar is not new, as it is already available in some Android phones, the most famous example being the Google Pixel 9.

From iPhoneIslam.com, two white smartphones bearing the “G” logo, featuring a triple camera system and flash on the back, proudly made by Google for 2024.

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 17 Air will be just 5.5mm thick at its thinnest point, making it the thinnest iPhone ever. As usual, Apple doesn’t include the rear camera bump in the dimensions of the phone.

From iPhoneIslam.com, a side-by-side comparison between the iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Air highlights the differences in thickness, with the former being 8.25mm thick and the latter 5.5mm thick. Both models feature a sleek gold finish for a luxurious feel.
Given its ultra-slim design, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to come with limited specifications including:

◉ Only one rear camera.

◉ Single speaker.

◉ No SIM card slot worldwide.

◉ Regular A19 processor instead of the more powerful A19 Pro.

◉ Smaller battery compared to other iPhone 17 models due to size constraints.

Other expected benefits include:

◉ 6.6-inch OLED display with Dynamic Island feature.

◉ Face ID facial recognition system.

◉ 8GB RAM to support AI technologies.

◉ And other advantages.

With these specifications, Apple appears to be moving towards offering a phone that combines extreme thinness with some compromises in technical specifications, which may make it a great choice for users looking for an elegant, lightweight phone at a reasonable price.

If it had the same shape, it would be a qualitative leap, but the rear cameras seem to have imitated the Google Pixel. Is it reasonable for Apple to do that?

Welcome Salman 😁, in fact, the similarity between the camera design in the iPhone 17 and the Pixel may be just a coincidence, because in the end all companies follow developments and innovations in the market. As for Apple, this company is known for maintaining its own style and unique designs, so we will not be able to be sure until confirmation comes from Apple itself. Everything is still just expectations and unofficial leaks. Always be prepared for surprises with Apple! 😉🍎

Frankly, it is very nice that Apple decided to finally change the shape of the iPhone after five to six years, but the shape of the device seems very close to the Google Pixel XL.

If this iPhone is released, it will break the market, along with the iPhone SE. God willing, I will buy one of them.

It's too early for him and his design leaks!
A slim and elegant phone that appeals to those who want a light and elegant device and a partial alternative to small phones!
It will open competition between companies to design slim phones, as is rumored with Samsung in the S25 Slim, which is expected to be announced today!
